Untitled section

Hello I tried to compile NAVIT for a mips PDA (agenda). I have some problems to start the configure tool with the correct parameters. Are there any samples available (Zaurus)? Many thanks Joerg

Account blocked

Are you sure you wanted to block Sleske? I don't think he's one of the spammers... --SlashMe 15:07, 18 December 2011 (CET)

Sorry, I did that accidentially and unblocked him already. If someone else feels he was wrongly blocked, please write me an email: my username at navit-project.org Cp15 15:46, 18 December 2011 (CET)

Manually confirm new wiki accounts?

As far as I can see, the spam flood shows no signs of stopping, despite many cleanups and registration captchas.

Would it make sense to require manual confirmation for new accounts? I know this is cumbersome, but deleting a dozen users every day is also hard to keep up. Maybe there's a way to let people write a small message indicating what they want to do? That should make it easy to recognize spammers.

As I mentioned in the IRC channel, almost all of the spam is new pages on the wiki. Spammers sign up and then create new pages, either editing their user page, or creating an entirely new page altogether.

From what I can also tell, it doesn't look like the number of spam sign-ups is accelerating - the daily number has held quite steady for the past few months (and thanks to User:SlashMe for keeping them all at bay!!). It'd be interesting to see what ip block these spammers are signing up from, and potentially banning the entire block for the moment. That assumes that this isn't some distributed malware, of course.

A more permanent solution to this type of spammer would be to block all new page creation features for new users, until they've performed at least 4 or 5 edits on the wiki. I think that this should even be extended to block all additions of external URLs until they've performed those 4 or 5 edits.

Does this sound appropriate? --Korrosa 11:04, 11 May 2012 (CEST)

Are you back?

Hi Martin, the team missed you since months and sadly there was no response even on my private messages. Today I saw that you confirmed some wiki accounts, so are you back at Navit? --Usul (talk) 17:06, 17 January 2014 (CET)
