Generalisation means the process to filter objects and simplify geometries, when you zoom out. Currently this is still not very satisfying with Navit (e.g. orthogonal buildings loose corners and the number of buildings stays constant high)

Try to apply a rule, else keep the building geometry

  • skip very small buildings
  • skip less prominent buildings (garages, ...)
  • merge small buildings that touch each other to one
  • approx. body just with a linestring and spec. width esp. and atriums
  • approx very huge buildings (industrial halls) with a simple box
